Sound Activations

In the series Sound Activations Jessica translates and transmits the experienced frequency of the artwork and current moment of time in instrumentation and vocalization. Adding a fleeting and spontaneous dimension of infinity to the eternal quality of a two dimensional painting she opens a liminal space where the viewer can journey into an experience of wonder and connection.  Sound Activations are performed both live and in social media recordings as a way to activate the artworks, the receiver and the location.

Rooted in shamanistisc traditions with an interest in therapeutic and esoteric properties of sound, this interdisciplinary performance weaves a continuum of sensing and meaning making in the creation act. It is a playful and potent agent for growth, consciousness awareness and healing.
